Move all 52 cards to the four foundations, each suit from ace to king. The daily deal is the same for everyone and can be solved.

How to play

Back to the game

In short

  • Build the four foundations at the top right, each suit from ace to king.
  • In the columns, put a red card on a black one and the other way round, always one lower, for example a red seven on a black eight.
  • When you are stuck, tap the stock at the top left or the Hint button.

Goal

Move all 52 cards to the four foundations at the top right. Each foundation holds one suit, built up from ace to king.

The deal

The cards are dealt into seven columns: one card in the first, seven in the seventh. The top card of each column is face up, the rest are face down. The other 24 cards form the stock at the top left.

Moves

  • In the columns, cards go down in rank and alternate in colour, so a red seven goes on a black eight.
  • You can move a whole face-up sequence or the lower part of it.
  • Only a king can go into an empty column, together with any cards on it.
  • When a face-down card is left on top of a column, it turns over by itself.
  • Tap or click the stock to turn a card onto the waste pile. Only the top card of the waste can be played.
  • When the stock runs out, tap or click it to turn the waste back over. You can go through the stock as many times as you like.
  • The top card of a foundation can be moved back to a column, but not to another foundation.

Drawing one or three cards

By default you draw one card at a time. When drawing three, three cards turn over at once and only the top one can be played, which makes the game harder. Changing this starts a new game.

Daily deal and new game

The daily deal is the same for every player on a given day and is chosen so that it can be solved. Draw one and draw three each have their own daily deal. New game deals the cards at random, and not every random deal can be solved.

Controls

  • Drag a card with the mouse or your finger to where you want it.
  • You can also tap or click a card and then the place where it should go. The places it can go are marked. Tap an empty part of the table to clear the selection. If the card does not belong where you tapped, the game tells you why and what goes there.
  • Double-click or double-tap a card to send it to a foundation.
  • Undo takes back the last move and works all the way to the start of the game. Hint lifts the card to move and marks where it goes with a dashed frame. When there is no useful move left, Hint tells you so.
  • Once every card in the columns is face up, a Finish game button appears below the cards. It moves the rest of the cards to the foundations.
  • With a keyboard, pick a pile with Tab or the arrow keys. Enter picks up or places a card, the up arrow adds the next card of the column to your selection and Esc clears it. Ctrl+Z undoes a move at any time during the game.

Time and moves

The clock starts with your first move. Every move counts, including turning a card from the stock. A game in progress stays saved in your browser, so you can come back to it later.
