How to play

In short

• Pick one of the three shapes and put it on empty cells of the grid.
• A full row or column disappears and you get points.
• The game ends when no shape fits anymore.

Goal

Place shapes on the 8 × 8 grid and score as many points as you can. The game ends when none of the shapes on offer fits.

Placing shapes

1. You get three shapes at a time. They are below the grid, or next to it on a wide screen. Pick one and put it on empty cells.
2. Shapes cannot be rotated. You can place them in any order.
3. When a whole row or a whole column is filled, it disappears. If a row and a column fill up at the same time, both disappear.
4. Once all three shapes are placed, you get three new ones.

A preview with a dark outline shows where the shape will land. A light frame on the cells while you aim means that line will disappear when you place the shape. Cells with a red cross and a dashed outline mean the shape does not fit there. A shape that fits nowhere turns grey in the offer.

Points

• You get 1 point for every cell you place.
• Lines cleared in one move: 1 line 10 points, 2 lines 30, 3 lines 60, 4 lines 100, 5 lines 150, 6 lines 210. Clearing several lines at once pays off.
• Your best score is kept in this browser. A game in progress is saved, so you can carry on after reloading the page.

Free play and daily challenge

• Free play: the shapes are random and you play for as long as one of them fits. The game tries to offer three shapes that can all be placed, but this is not guaranteed.
• Daily challenge: 30 shapes a day in the same order for every player. The challenge ends when all 30 shapes are placed or when none of the shapes on offer fits. You can try it more than once, and your best score of the day counts. A new challenge starts at midnight Central European time.

Controls

• Mouse: click a shape, then click a spot on the grid. The preview shows where the shape will land. You can also drag the shape.
• Touch: tap a shape, then tap a spot on the grid and the shape goes there. If the whole shape does not fit there, the game shows the nearest free spot and you place the shape by tapping the preview. You can also drag the shape with your finger. While you drag, it stays above your finger so you can see where it goes.
• Keyboard: press 1, 2 or 3 to pick a shape, move it with the arrow keys and press Enter to place it. Esc cancels the selection.
