What is stored on your device
Game progress, unfinished games and the sound setting are stored in your browser's storage (localStorage) on your device. They are not sent to our server. You can remove them by clearing the site data in your browser.
If you pick a language in the header, a cookie named hh_lang stores that choice for one year. We use no other cookies, and there are no advertising or analytics cookies here. While a tab is open, the browser keeps a random visit number, described under Visitor statistics.
What the server sees
On every visit the server records the IP address, time, requested address and browser type. We need this to protect the site from attacks and to find errors. These records are deleted after 14 days.
The site runs behind Cloudflare, which protects it and makes it faster. Cloudflare processes technical request data on our behalf. The server is located in Slovakia with the provider crew.sk.
Visitor statistics
To know which games people play and whether the site loads fast enough, we count visits ourselves on our own server. We use no cookies for this and no outside services such as Google Analytics.
When a page is shown, we record the page address (without anything after a question mark), the language, the domain of the site you came from (for example google.com), the device type (phone, tablet or computer), the browser and system name (for example Chrome and Android) and the country as reported by Cloudflare. For games we also record which game was started and finished, the result, how long it took and how long the game page was open. When you leave a page, the browser also sends figures on how fast it loaded (Web Vitals).
We do not store the IP address or the full browser identifier (User-Agent) in the statistics. To count different visitors per day, the server combines the IP address, the browser identifier and a random string into a short fingerprint (a hash) and stores only that. The random string is replaced every midnight and the old one is thrown away, so fingerprints from different days cannot be linked. During the day it would in theory be possible to check whether a fingerprint belongs to a known IP address and browser. After midnight it is not, because the string is gone. We store the time of each record rounded to the minute, and the server does not write statistics requests to its own log with IP addresses.
While the tab is open, the browser keeps a random visit number (sessionStorage) so that moving to another page counts as the same visit. It is not a cookie and holds nothing else. It is deleted when you close the tab, and a new one is created after 30 minutes of inactivity and after midnight. The server does not store it as it is, only as a fingerprint with the daily random string, so it cannot link days either.
If your browser has Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track turned on, no visit number is created and the server does not compute a fingerprint. We store only the page address, the language, for games also the game name, and the hour. We do not store the device, browser, country, where you came from, or the game result and length. The page view then only adds to the overall totals.
For online games the server only records that a room was created or that someone joined it, for which game, in which mode and language.
Individual records are deleted after 400 days. We keep only daily totals, such as the number of visits or games started per day. We do not link statistics records to IP addresses or any other data, so we cannot connect them to a particular person or look them up on request.
Contact form
When you write to us through the contact form, we store the topic, the game if you report a bug, the message text, the page language and the time it was sent. We store your email address and name only if you fill them in. We use this data only to reply to you and to fix what is broken. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering your message and fixing problems (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not sell the data to anyone and do not use it for advertising.
The message is stored on our server and then sent to us by email. Cloudflare delivers the email and processes it on our behalf. We read mail sent to [email protected] in a mailbox at Google (Gmail), which also processes it on our behalf. We delete messages on the server and the emails in the mailbox, including our replies, no later than 12 months after we receive them. If you want us to delete your message sooner, write to [email protected] from the address you gave, or tell us roughly when you wrote and what about. We will delete it from both the server and the mailbox.
To protect against spam, the server briefly counts how many messages came from one connection (IP address). This count is kept only in the server's memory and expires after a day. We do not store the IP address with your message. Messages that look like spam are set aside on the server and are not sent by email. They are also deleted after 12 months.
The form is also protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks in your browser that the message is not sent by a program. To do that it processes technical data about your browser and device. The Turnstile script loads only when you start filling in the form.
Your rights
You have the right to know what data we process about you and to ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Since we have no accounts or profiles, we can link data to an IP address and time at most, and for contact form messages also to the email address or name you gave. Write to the address above. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the Slovak Office for Personal Data Protection.
When we add accounts, we will update this page before they go live.
