Cookie policy

In effect from October 2026. Operator: M-Dev. Contact: [email protected].

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) works in a similar way. HoyHop uses one cookie of its own, for the language you pick. Everything else is kept in browser storage: game progress and settings, data for online play and a random visit number for statistics. We use no advertising or tracking cookies, and the statistics work without a cookie.

How we handle data is described on the page Privacy.

What is stored

On the Contact page, Cloudflare Turnstile loads when you start filling in the form, to check that the message is not sent by a program. It runs in a small frame served by Cloudflare and stores nothing on hoyhop.net. What it processes is described on the Privacy page.

Advertising

There is no advertising on HoyHop yet, and we load no scripts from ad networks. If we turn it on, this page will be updated, a link to change your choices will appear in the footer, and in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland we will ask for your consent before the first ad. Browsers that send Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track will not get ads. There will be no ads in online rooms or in kids mode.

How to remove them

You can remove everything above in your browser settings as site data for hoyhop.net. This also removes your game progress. If you remove the language cookie, hoyhop.net opens in your browser's language.
